The Starbucks Workers United union needs our support! There’s an important meeting open to the public happening this Saturday, Dec. 20, at 11am at Theo’s Coffee House in Eugene. Too many Eugenians are crossing the picket line and buying coffee from a corporation that’s denying its workers “…fair hours, higher take-home pay, and a resolution of the hundreds of outstanding labor law violations that Starbucks continues to commit.”

“It’s time we show real solidarity. It’s time to stand with workers and unions and send a clear message to billionaires like Howard Schultz and Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol: workers are not disposable, and communities like ours will not be pushed around. Join us this Saturday for coffee and learn how you can support our striking Starbucks workers.”

Amazon wants to build a giant freaking warehouse on the wetlands by the airport!!!

YOU may have heard about this, but have all of your Eugenian friends and neighbors heard about it? Spread the word!

Go to this site where you can submit comments about how bad this would be for the wetlands habitat. Here is the original application put forth by TC Pursuit Services, Inc. We have until Jan. 2, 2026 to let the state know that we’re not ok with this project. Look at all of the comments that have already been submitted!!!

NOTE: Make sure to mention the harm that would be caused to the wetland habitat. Please read this article from the Dissonant Times to learn more about the potential environmental impact of warehouse construction on our wetlands. Let the state know that we don’t want Amazon and Jeff Bezos poisoning our city with more of his money-making pursuits.

MORE PEOPLE ARE NEEDED AT THE EUGENE FEDERAL BUILDING ON A REGULAR BASIS

This is an urgent plea to ramp up the presence at the Eugene federal building at 7th and Pearl. There are some genuinely sick and malevolent federal agents who are coming in and out of this building, and they need to know that they’re despised.
