What’s going on?
Hate groups filed a petition to the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that’s trying to:
restrict access to estrogen for ALL trans women,
create a federal patient registry of ALL trans women receiving estrogen,
and set up a system of unverified adverse-event reporting that can (and will) be gamed to try to legislate gender transition out of existence.
But it can still be stopped – and YOU can help stop it!
What the Petition Requests:
On December 17, 2025, a citizen petition (FDA-2025-P-7321) was filed requesting sweeping changes in how our healthcare system would treat trans women, including:
A box warning on all estrogen products regarding use by trans women – but not cisgender women.
A federal patient registry that would require every trans woman on estrogen to put themselves on a federal list in order to access hormone therapy.
Restrictions that would limit the providers who could prescribe HRT to trans women.
A higher degree of clinical gatekeeping that will lead to more frequent denials of HRT for trans women.
The creation of an adverse-event reporting system (FAERS) that, like VAERS, does not require reports to be backed by medical records, and therefore does not effectively screen for fraudulent reports.
What does that mean for trans women?

This petition aims to restrict medical gender transition for trans ADULTS, and track them via a federal list.
These ideas are extremely alarming, given the fact that our government is consistently denying and trying to erase basic trans humanity.
This system is set up to create a vicious cycle aimed at eliminating trans access to healthcare:
The registry creates the list ---> The FAERS reporting fills up with unverified claims ---> The claims become the evidence base for the next round of restrictions.
It’s intended to implode.
Who are the people running this effort?
This petition is being presented by a group of activist doctors tied to hate groups. Their rationale is based on a small selection of cherry-picked and misleadingly-presented studies. They are trying to present hormone therapy as something harmful, when in fact the existing science shows that hormone therapy significantly reduces suicide and depression in trans women.
Fascists are yet again using misinformation to try to oppress people – so we need objective experts AND the general public to chime in and push back to the regulators at the FDA.
